FIREFIGHTERS AND MENTAL HEALTH

Awareness Evening

All career firefighters, and their spouses and partners, are invited to a Mental Health Awareness Evening.  This is the first event to be held by the UFU’s newly formed Spouse and Partners Support Group for career firefighters of both the MFB and the CFA.

The discussions throughout the course of the evening will centre around health issues affecting firefighters.  The evening will also be an introduction to the newly formed support group.

Speakers for the evening include: Ross Fusca (UFU Welfare Officer), Terry Haefield (His Journey), Floyd Backhausen and a member of the MFB Peer Group Support, and Nathaniel ‘Nazza’ O’Brien (‘Let Me Know’ app).  All attendees are warmly welcomed to join the group for a cuppa and a chat following the presentations.
