The weather was most certainly on our side on Sunday as over 1000 people filled part of Moonee Valley Racecourse over the course of the day to celebrate the UFU Annual Picnic.
The kids had lots of entertainment to keep themselves busy – from the petting zoo to the slide, bumper cars and teacups…
The very talented face painters and balloon twisters were, as per usual, very popular and there were lots of little lions and tigers running around on the day!
Unsurprisingly, all the lollies and icy poles were also very quick to go!
A big thank you to Colin Campbell ASFM for handing out over 400 fire safety placemats on the day, to the crew from No. 50 who attended with the Ladder Platform (always a winner!) and also to the Fire Services Museum with the antique truck and goodies for the kids.
The music was great and the food – a combination of lunch by The Atlantic Group and a sausage sizzle by our dedicated UFU Retired Members Division and Social Committee members – was absolutely fantastic.
As always, a big thank you to the UFU Social Committee, Retired Members Division, members and staff who made this day possible! It was a great day enjoyed by all!
