2020 Parkinson’s Challenge – Fundraiser for Victorian’s Living with Parkinson’s

There are currently 27,000 people battling Parkinson’s Disease in Victoria.  These include firefighters, their family members & friends.

This year the #Parkinsonswalk will be done virtually on an individual basis.  People across Victoria will be walking 27 days in October to raise funds for people living with Parkinson’s.

To join in the challenge and raise much needed funds Cmdr Steve Watts and SO Sarah Lostia are joining up with the Firefighters Charity Fund and organizing  the FRV 48 hour Parkinson’s Challenge .  For every KM your shift walks on the treadmill in 48 hours the Firefighters Charity Fund will donate $1 to Parkinson’s Victoria – it’s that easy, all you have to do is walk!

All FRV stations/locations should have received a promotional pack (including poster), a log for km walked and the event information kit.   To participate in this great event crew’s need to complete the log at the end of the challenge and forward it along with photos of the crew participating in the challenge to parkinsons@ffcf.org.au

When:            Monday the 5th October (C & D Shift)
Friday the 9th October (A & B S Shift)

In support of Victorian’s living with Parkinson’s the UFU will be making it’s own donation to Parkinson’s Victoria.  We encourage all members to get on board and participate in this great

fundraising event.

For any queries or questions please contact either Sarah Lostia (0414 894 159) or Steve Watts (0419 616 286)
