ALICE SPRINGS DONATIONS
Dozens of remote aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory are in desperate need for basic school essentials, clothing and sports and arts supplies.
Towns such as Kintore, 500km west of Alice Springs have been hit with severe floods which saw the township cut off and most of their housing and belonging lost. Many supplies had to be airlifted to them.
Nine other communities in the area have identified the need for art and sports supplies, particularly for softball and Aussie Rules Football.
The UFU is encouraging members to help pitch in and donate art supplies, softball and AFL goods to these under-resourced communities.
The UFU will be sending up package to this remote community on Thursday 16th March. If you could please bring all donations to the UFU office – 410 Brunswick St, Fitzroy by 5pm on Wednesday March 15th.
