CFA “RED PAPER” PLAN

Members may be aware of the CFA’s intention to develop a document they refer to as a “Red Paper” as detailed in an email from CEO Lucinda Nolan last Friday. The intent of this plan is suggested to be to identify the CFA’s goals and objectives and to guide future decisions about what resources and capabilities are required. Members have been invited to “put forward their ideas and comments” to contribute to the plan, via an online survey.

UFU members are directly impacted by any decisions the CFA makes about organisational objectives, and resourcing. As such it is vital that organisational planning commence with genuine consultation with the Union and our members to ensure that all feedback is appropriately reflected in any decisions.

The CFA have failed to consult with the UFU regarding this announcement. As a result the UFU has on Friday lodged a Grievance regarding the proposed “Red Paper” development.

Members are advised that it is not in your interests to participate in the Online Survey the CFA has developed.

We urge you to convey any comments or feedback regarding future planning in the CFA to the Union via email at io1@ufuvic.asn.au who will ensure your views are appropriately reflected in any decisions regarding organisational planning.
