CLARIFICATION REGARDING INDUSTRIAL ACTION – FALSE ALARM RECORDING

Following queries from members the UFU wishes to clarify that in relation to the following protected industrial action:

“Refusing to report or record the code or type of false alarms triggered at protected premises other than reporting via the radio where faults require maintenance”;

This industrial action includes not completing AIRS/FIRS reports in relation to false alarm type or codes.

Should members seek any further clarification in relation to protected industrial action please contact your shop steward in the first instance or alternatively the UFU office.

The UFU reminds members that under no circumstances should any member implement or continue the industrial action if it would threaten to endanger the life, personal safety or health, or the welfare of any part of the population. If in doubt the action must be terminated.
