2018 UFU DELEGATES TRAINING CONFERENCE
The UFU respectfully reminds members that a Delegates’ Training Conference will be held on Monday 26 February and Tuesday 27 February 2018.
Attendance is vital for all delegates to be able to successfully fulfil the role of Shop Steward, Deputy Shop Steward, Health and Safety Rep or Deputy Health and Safety Rep. All UFU Delegates are strongly encouraged to attend the training conference.
If delegates have any questions regarding your delegate status, please contact the UFU Office immediately.

The training conference will cover the following topics:
- ACTU Delegates’ training, applicable to all levels of experience
- Presentation by Victorian Trades Hall Council
- Presentation by UFU Welfare Officer Ross Fusca
- UFU current industrial and legal matters across the membership
- Update on interoperability and fire service reform
- 2018 State Election
Delegates will also receive an official delegates kit to take away with information pertaining to their role.
RSVPs essential
RSVPs to the conference are absolutely essential. Delegates must RSVP to the UFU by C.O.B. Monday 29 January to Laura Campanaro at org1@ufuvic.asn.au or on 0401 050 441.
Accommodation available
For delegates who are not able to travel between conference days, single room accommodation is available on the night of Monday 26 February. This includes dinner on the Monday evening and a full breakfast on the Tuesday morning. Delegates who require accommodation must notify the UFU ASAP.
Trade Union Leave
If you are rostered on for either or both days, you must apply for trade union leave with your employer ASAP. Please note that the UFU will also be contacting employers on your behalf to confirm your attendance however you will still need to officially apply for trade union leave through your employer.
