Bulletin No: 004 Volume: 20 Friday 10 January 2014
To ALL UFU ESTA MEMBERS
It has come to the UFU’s attention today that a number of members have not received a ballot paper from the Australian Electoral Commission in order to allow them to vote on ESTA’s proposed Agreement.
If you have not received a ballot paper it is imperative that you contact the AEC immediately if you want your vote to be counted.
At this late stage (given that voting closes at 10am Tuesday 14 January) members can either contact the AEC today to have a ballot paper sent to them (but they will likely need to return that ballot paper to the AEC in person) or alternatively provision has been made for members to attend the AEC office prior to Tuesdays to cast their vote in person.
The AEC office is located on Level 8 Casselden Place, 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne. If members have not received a ballot paper and wish to vote in person please contact the AEC in advance to arrange this.
The Industrial Elections division of the AEC can also be contacted directly on 9285 7145 if members need to contact the AEC.
We remind members that it is important that you do vote if you want your vote to be counted.
If you have received a ballot paper, intend to vote and have not yet returned your ballot, please note that your ballot needs to be received by the AEC by 10am Tuesday 14 January.
If you do not vote on ESTA’s proposed Agreement your voice won’t be heard.
We also remind members that the UFU does not believe voting yes to ESTA proposed Agreement is in your best interests.
Members will be advised of the outcome of the vote following the count of ballots on Tuesday.
