To ALL UFU ESTA MEMBERS
ESTA PROPOSED WORK LOADS AND SYSTEMS OF WORK CHANGES WITHOUT ANY CONSULTATION
To all UFU ESTA members,
The UFU are aware that ESTA have sought to implement a trial which would alter workloads and systems of work for Fire and Police call takers.
ESTA’s proposal has not been consulted on through the mechanisms provided for in the enterprise agreement which were agreed with staff only last year.
This has meant that the concerns of staff and unions regarding the potential operational and public safety effects of the decision have not been able to be adequately taken into account in the decision.
Accordingly will be lodging a dispute under the enterprise agreement in order to ensure that appropriate consultation takes place.
Members should contact Jeremy Murphy at the UFU office on 9419 8811 if they have any questions or concerns regarding this.
