UFU MEMBERS: URGENT CALL TO ACTION

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT’S UNION-BUSTING ENSURING INTEGRITY BILL

Contact the Senate crossbench

Federal Attorney-General Christian Porter is continuing to negotiate with the cross-bench for their support for the unprecedented, union-busting “Ensuring Integrity Bill”.

Christian Porter is currently proposing a scheme where 900 demerit points can deregister an entire trade union.  To give you an idea of “demerit point fines”, late filing of reports by union is proposed to be 300 points, failure to undertake training is proposed to be 500 points, failure to remove unfinancial members from a roll is proposed to be 300 points, etc.

The Ensuring Integrity Bill is nothing more than a union-busting bill. No amendment will improve this Bill.  It has been drafted with one thing in mind: to (attempt to) destroy the Australian trade union movement.

Members are urgently, respectfully asked to contact the members of the cross bench by Twitter, Facebook or phone to urge the crossbench to vote AGAINST this Bill:

Jacqui Lambie: 02 6277 3614

Rex Patrick: 02 6277 3785

Pauline Hanson: 02 6277 3184

Malcolm Roberts: 02 6277 3694

Stirling Griff: 02 6277 3128
