TO ALL UFU CFA MEMBERS
LACK OF CONSULTATION REGARDING DISTRICT 27 – GRIEVANCE LODGED
Members are advised that a grievance has been lodged over CFA seeking to implement a new district effecting members without engaging in genuine consultation.
Since this District was ‘announced’, the UFU has been seeking to discuss this matter with the CFA at EBIC however no meaningful consultation has been entered into by the CFA. Instead the UFU have been informed that the CFA are seeking to engage in ‘briefings’ with members, without any opportunity for genuine consultation on a matter that affects their employment.
The UFU is seeking to genuinely consult with the CFA regarding this matter and for CFA to provide detailed information, scope and reasoning for the establishment of this new district.
As a grievance has been lodged the status quo prior to the subject matter of the grievance exists. Therefore any consultation that is engaged in with members under the Operational Staff Agreement regarding District 27 should be carried out through EBIC and not through ‘briefings’.
Should you have any queries, please notify your delegate or Michelle Baldini or Martin Davis, Industrial Officers on 9419 8811.
