MELBOURNE FIREFIGHTER
STAIR CLIMB
The Firefighters Charity Fund has partnered with the MFB Charity Running Club with this great initiative – the Inaugural Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb.
200 firefighters from across Australasia will climb the 476 stairs and 28 floors of the Crown Metropol in full kit and Breathing Apparatus.
You can challenge yourself by wearing BA “on air” by entering the “Donned and Started” Category. Or have a bit of fun in the “Donned Only” Category, where you just wear the BA and not the mask.
So far the event has raised $39,264 and every dollar contributed by firefighters in either entry fee or donation will go towards upgrading the Alfred Burns Unit.
It’s on Sunday 7th of September 2014 commencing at 12.30pm
The UFU is proud to support this event and encourages members to get involved via competing, donating to the cause or sponsoring a colleague!
