    TO ALL UFU MEMBERS

MEMBERS ASKED TO ATTEND FISKVILLE INQUIRY HEARING ON MONDAY

Members would be aware that the Fiskville inquiry hearings are commencing on Monday the 18th of May.

It is imperative that we have a strong presence at the inquiry in order to demonstrate that there is widespread interest in seeing those responsible for knowingly exposing UFU members to deadly carcinogens and contaminated water are held to account.

The UFU campaigned for an independent and thorough inquiry and it is important we are there to hear the witnesses who are appearing before the parliamentary joint committee.

The hearing will be taking place at Parliament and there is capacity for 70 members to be in attendance. It is important that we fill that space to capacity with UFU members.

The UFU will be providing a BBQ breakfast in the car park next to Parliament House, opposite the European Cafe from 8:30am.

The hearing will commence at 10:00am

at Parliament House, Spring Street, East Melbourne

Members are asked to RSVP for either a 10am-1pm shift or a 1pm-5pm shift.

If you are unable to attend on Monday we will still need members to attend the hearing when it reconvenes on Monday the 25th of May and Monday the 15th of June.

Please RSVP via text to 0419 127 045 or org2@ufuvic.asn.au
