TO ALL UFU MEMBERS
UFU TO FILE PROTECTED ACTION APPLICATION
IN THE FAIR WORK COMMISSION
SPECIAL GENERAL MEMBERS
MEETING RESCHEDULED
WEDNESDAY 29 JULY 2015
Members are advised that there has been limited progress of bargaining for the CFA and MFB Operational Staff Agreements as the Employers’ position has barely changed.
As a result the UFU will be filing an application for protected action with a range of bans in the Fair Work Commission.
The Fair Work Commission process must take its course before any Bans are notified and implemented. This includes a hearing within two working days and if the Fair Work Commission upholds the application the bans will be balloted with members.
In addition, due to BCOM members and UFU officials attending the funeral of a close friend’s father the Special General Members’ Meetings that were scheduled for Monday 27 July have been rescheduled to Wednesday 29 July 2015.
9.30am and 7.30pm
Wednesday 29 July 2015
Trades Hall
(Corner of Victoria and Lygon Street, Melbourne)
Please RSVP your attendance or apologies to reception@ufuvic.asn.au
Rescheduling the meeting will also enable members to be updated on the application to the Fair Work Commission and be fully briefed on the bans. We apologise for any inconvenience resulting from the rescheduling of the meeting
