NEW INTEGRATED STATION OPENS FURTHERING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CFA CAREER FIREFIGHTERS AND VOLUNTEERS – WORKING TOGETHER TO PROTECT THE COMMUNITY
STOP PRESS: SOUTH WARRANDYTE FIRE STATION OPENS
Members are advised that the new South Warrandyte fire station (integrated) has opened today with career firefighters now working with volunteers at South Warrandyte. This will provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week coverage.
The station is staffed with 4 career firefighters per shift with one Station Officer, one Leading Firefighter and two Firefighters per shift.
The new station and introduction of career firefighters working together with local volunteers will greatly contribute to the protection of the community and operational personnel.
The UFU congratulates the UFU members involved in the integration and opening of the new station. Additionally we look forward to continuing to form the relationship between career firefighters and volunteers that is essential to providing this vital service to the community.
