NEW LINE UP AND NEW BREAKS!
ESTA BARGAINING TEAM ROLLS UP AFTER ESTA STRATEGY BOWLED OVER
As a result of the ‘no’ vote and your rejection of ESTA’s proposed agreement, ESTA has now announced two new developments:
- ESTA has now agreed to implement half an hour breaks for fire as of 3 February 2014. This was a claim from the Union bargaining team and we are glad to see that ESTA management is exercising some common sense in finally implementing this measure;
- ESTA now has a new management bargaining team to bargain with the Unions to resolve the current enterprise bargaining.
ESTA have also agreed to the Unions’ request to meet and recommence bargaining tomorrow.
The UFU is hopeful that these developments are an indication of a positive step forward and that ESTA is seeking speedy resolution of outstanding matters.
We would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate all members on your solidarity and clearly sending the message to your management that you will not accept anything other fair terms and conditions of employment.
Following this initial meeting with the new ESTA bargaining team, members will be updated on the progress of discussions.
The UFU will also be holding membership meetings in the near future to update members on negotiations. Times and dates will be advised shortly.
