MELBOURNE UNI PROFESSOR VALIDATES INTEGRITY OF NO CONFIDENCE VOTE IN CFO RAU AND PRESIDENT COMRIE BY MFB OPERATIONAL STAFF
RE JIM HIGGINS’ ILL INFORMED STATEMENTS
In response to the UFU bulletin highlighting results of the no confidence vote in MFB CFO Peter Rau and MFB Board President Murray Neil Comrie, MFB CEO Mr Higgins stated the following:
“The survey referred to by the UFU is a blatant political exercise designed to produce only one outcome.”
Mr Higgins should take note and apologise to the UFU as the survey and its content including its questions were verified as being independent and statistically sound by an independent Melbourne University Professor.
In light of this, Mr Higgins should be very concerned that the outcome of the survey was as follows:
- 95% of respondents have no confidence in Chief Fire Officer Peter Rau, and
- 92% of respondents have no confidence in MFB president Murray Neil Comrie.
We invite Mr Higgins to view the validation process for the survey. Of course after doing so, most people would then realise the error of their ways and issue an apology. It will be interesting to see what Mr Higgins’ response will be.
