PEOPLE MATTER SURVEY 2014

PARTICIPATION IS VOLUNTARY AND

THIS SURVEY IS NOT ENDORSED

Members are reminded that the UFU has not endorsed the people matter survey and we do not believe it is in your interests to participate in the survey.

As the UFU has stated to members in previous years participation in this survey is voluntary.

The UFU has genuine concerns regarding the survey including what the MFB will use the information for.

For example, in relation to the 2013 survey, the MFB clearly stated in correspondence to the UFU that the results could not be considered “statistically valid” due to the low level of responses received however the MFB continued to take those results and use them to inform future activities and actions rather than simply consult with employees through the processes provided for in the Enterprise Agreement.

This previous action by the MFB clearly shows how the MFB will take information and twist results to suit their purposes.

Further, as we all know, this is an organisation which consistently reneges on commitments made and is now seeking to terminate the Operational Staff Agreement and the ACFO Agreement.

In this context the UFU has serious concerns regarding the MFB’s trustworthiness and as such we do not advise that members participate.

If members have any queries in relation to this matter please contact the UFU office on 9419 8811.
