Bulletin No: 143 Volume: 22 Wednesday 3 August 2016
To: All CFA & MFB Members
REMINDER: MEMBERS ASKED TO PARTICIPATE IN INDEPENDENT CONFIDENTIAL AND CREDIBLE REVIEW OF BULLYING AND DISCRIMINATION IN THE FIRE SERVICE
Members are reminded that the University of Newcastle is currently undertaking an independent, confidential and credible review into bullying and discrimination in the fire services.
The UFU has advised members in previous bulletins about the serious concerns which have been identified with the VEORHC review into bullying and Discrimination in the Fire Service and we do not believe it is in your interests to participate in the VEOHRC review.
To ensure that all members have the opportunity to participate and provide their experiences regarding bullying, harassment and discrimination the UFU has commissioned the University of Newcastle to undertake an independent review.
Any CFA or MFB members who have not yet participated in this review are respectfully asked to log on to http://bilbo.economicoutlook.net/survey/ using the unique personal identifier which has been emailed and texted to you.
CFA and MFB members would have received their personal unique identifier by text message or email on Monday the 1st of August.
That unique identifier acts as a password to access the independent survey to ensure each member can only complete the survey once. This process also protects members’ confidentiality and ensures the survey is conducted on an independent and credible basis.
