Bulletin No: 144 Volume: 21 THURSDAY 30 JULY 2015
TO ALL UFU MEMBERS
REMINDER: UFU MEMBERS NEEDED FOR MASS UNION DOORKNOCK
IN CORANGAMITE THIS SUNDAY
Members are still need for a doorknock this week in the Marginal Federal seat of Corangamite this Sunday the 2nd of August.
There is a strong chance of a spring federal election as a result of a double dissolution over a piece of anti-Union legislation. As a result the ACTU is beginning a cross Union campaign aimed at informing voters of the damage that the Abbott Governments attack on Unions and workers is having.
The UFU will be campaigning alongside other Emergency Service workers and to inform the community of the impact that the Abbott Governments planned cuts to penalty rates would have on emergency service workers.
All members who are available are encouraged to attend and help defend workers rights by ensuring the Coalition does not get a second term in office.
Members will meet:
Sunday 2nd of August 10:00am
Geelong Trades Hall,
127 Myers St, Geelong VIC 3220
A bus will departing from Victoria Trades Hall at 8:30am to facilitate
those travelling from Melbourne.
Full training will be provided as well as a BBQ lunch afterwards.
Please RSVP via text to Dan on 0419 127 045 or Email to org2@ufuvic.asn.au
