Bulletin No: 154 Volume: 21 Monday 10 August 2015
TO ALL UFU MEMBERS
REMINDER: ONE MORE WEEK FOR MEMBERS TO PROVIDE SUBMISSIONS INTO GOVERNMENT FIRE SERVICES REVIEW
For members who have yet to provide a submission into the Government Fire Service Review, you are reminded that the closing date to do so is next Monday 17 August.
The UFU will be providing comprehensive submissions into this review however membership involvement is vitally important to highlight your experiences in relation to attacks under the Napthine Government in relation to staffing, equipment and interoperability (secondment programme).
The UFU understands fully the stress that was placed on firefighters and fire service personnel in both the CFA and MFB. In addition to those experiences we look forward to positive submissions as to how to rectify the deficiencies caused by the budget cuts whilst improving the service to the community of which we serve.
To make participation for members as easy as possible the UFU has prepared a pro-forma document (please see attached). If you wish to participate please fill out the attached form (preferably electronically) and sign and email it to Rini Krouskos at firstname.lastname@example.org by no later than Monday 17 August 2015.
Members are reminded to use your personal email address when sending.
We strongly encourage all members to participate and provide their submissions.
If members wish to discuss their participation further please contact Rini Krouskos on 0400 441 616 or via the UFU office on 9419 8811
