RTBU RALLY FRIDAY
UFU MEMBERS TO STAND
IN SOLIDARITY WITH RTBU MEMBERS
The Rail Tram and Bus Union will be marching from Trades Hall to Flinders Street Station on Friday in protest of Metro Trains contempt for workers in the bargaining process.
This foreign-owned company is trying to squeeze workers into longer hours, provide poorer overtime provisions, and weaken dispute resolution procedures and protections for members in disciplinary processes, in exchange for a modest wage offer.
The Rally will be held during a 4 hour stop work action undertaken by Metro Trains employees.
Any available UFU members are encouraged to attend to show support and solidarity for RTBU members who are taking protected industrial action for the first time in 18 years.
Members are to meet at:
11:30am Friday 4 September
Trades Hall
(corner of Victoria and Lygon Streets, Melbourne)
If you are able to attend the rally please text Dan on 0419 127 045.
