MFB AND CFA OPS BARGAINING

Special General Membership Meeting Update

Members will be aware that the UFU Branch Committee of Management has scheduled 2 Special General Meetings to discuss enterprise bargaining across the UFU operational membership.

Please note a correction on the start time of these meetings to maximize attendance:

These meetings will take place at Victorian Trades Hall on Wednesday 20 November commencing at 09:30 and 19:30.

At these Special General Meetings UFU will be presenting and seeking feedback from members on the UFU members’ proposed log of claims developed based on membership input.

Members will also be aware that UFU negotiating teams have been and are continuing to meet with MFB and CFA. The Fair Work Commission has also been assisting the parties in this process at various stages. At the scheduled members meetings, updates will be provided on these discussions to date.

In addition the UFU has today extended an invitation to the MFB’s lead executive for the MFB negotiating team, Paul Stacchino, to attend the meetings and present the MFB’s position. We will also shortly extend a similar invitation to the CFA.

ATTENDANCE AT ONE OF THESE MEETING IS PIVOTAL FOR ALL MFB AND CFA OPERATIONAL MEMBERS.

The UFU will also take the opportunity to brief those in attendance on enterprising bargaining across other areas of our membership.
