TO ALL UFU MEMBERS

The Inaugural Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb

is this Sunday

Over $100,000 Raised Already!

The Inaugural Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb has raised over $100,000 for the Alfredton Burns Unit.

The event which is on this Sunday is a combined effort between the Firefighters Charity Fund and the MFB Charity Running Club. It will consist of 200 firefighters from across Australasia climbing the 476 stairs and 28 floors of the Crown Metropol in full kit and Breathing Apparatus.

The UFU is proud to support this event and encourages members to get involved by Competing, donating to the cause or sponsoring a colleague.

It’s not too late to enter in either of the two categories:

  • You can challenge yourself by wearing BA “on air” by entering  the “Donned and Started” Category.
  • Or have a bit of fun in the “Donned Only” Category, where you just wear the BA and not the mask!

To register go to www.firefighterclimb.org.au  – registration includes a free event t-shirt!

Donations can be made at www.firefighterclimb.org.au/donate

Event details are as Follows:

Sunday 7th September at  12.30pm                                                                                                  Crown Metropol Melbourne
8 Whiteman Street, Southbank, 3006

So far the event has raised $101,482 and every dollar contributed by firefighters in either entry fee or donation will go towards upgrading the Alfred Burns Unit.
