WITNESS DEBATE ON PRESUMPTIVE
LEGISLATION TO RECOGNISE OCCUPATIONAL
CANCER FOR VICTORIAN FIREFIGHTERS
Presumptive legislation to recognise occupational cancer for Victorian firefighters is back on the agenda for debate in the Victorian Parliament this week.
Greens Party MP Colleen Hartland will be putting a motion calling on all political parties to commit to introducing presumptive legislation to recognise occupational cancer for Victorian firefighters and to have that legislation introduced within six months of the election.
Members are asked to attend Parliament to watch the debate and to demonstrate to the Victorian Parliament the vital importance of presumptive legislation to enable firefighters to be able to access their entitlements and compensation for occupational cancer.
Members are asked to meet at 3.30pm for 4pm start
