TOY DRIVE TO REPLACE CHRISTMAS PRESENTS DESTROYED IN LES TWENTYMAN FOUNDATION FIRE

A fire last night at Little Saigon Market destroyed Christmas Gifts that were donated to the Les Twentyman Foundation for their Annual Christmas Party.

The presents were to be given out at the Annual Christmas Party to disadvantaged children and their families. For many children the gifts they receive from the Les Twentyman Foundation are the only gifts they will receive this Christmas.

The UFU is organising a toy drive to help replace the presents destroyed in the fire.

Members are encouraged to bring any presents they can suitable for children or teenagers to fire stations by Tuesday the 20th of December in order to be picked up in time for Christmas.

Presents should be wrapped and labelled with an age range and whether it’s for a boy, girl or suited to either.

Presents for children aged 10 and upwards are preferred but any donation is welcome.

Please do not donate second-hand goods.

Members can also donate money to the Les Twentyman Foundation here: http://www.ltfoundation.com.au/

Shop Stewards phone hookups are being organised to go over the logistics of the toy drive later today.

For more information please contact Dan on 0419 127 045.
