IMPORTANT BULLETIN TO MEMBERS
FRV TRANSFER OF INSTRUMENTS EXPLAINED BY VIDEO
The implementation of FRV necessarily involved a complex legal process called a Transfer of Instruments. The agreements that transferred to FRV were;
MFB:
- Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board, United FireFighters Union of Australia, Operational Staff Agreement 2016
- Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board Corporate and Technical Employees Agreement 2017
CFA:
- Country Fire Authority/United Firefighters Union of Australia Operational Staff Enterprise Agreement 2016
- Country Fire Authority Professional, technical and Administrative Agreement 2016
Importantly, this process did not affect any of our members pay, conditions or entitlements.
In June members were asked to vote on whether they agreed to the Transfer of Instruments process – an overwhelming 98% of you voted yes!
As a result of the yes vote the UFU could continue with the proposal to transfer your instruments via the Fair Work Commission (FWC) process.
Please watch the following video
We understand that the current climate has made it more difficult than usual to explain these changes to members and have created a short video to explain this process, that can be accessed at the link below;
Under these three transferred agreements ALL pay, conditions and entitlements are the same as prior to July 1.
We expect this process to be finalized soon.
The UFU would like to thank all members for their support during an extremely busy period and throughout this process.
Should you have any further queries relating to transfer of industrial instruments, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the UFU office on 9419 8811.
