MFB CERTIFICATION PROCESS DAY 2
The proceedings for the certification of the MFB UFU Operational Staff Agreement 2016 continued yesterday (Day 2) in the Fair Work Commission before Deputy President Gostencnik.
Yesterday, the MFB’s and UFU’s witnesses were cross-examined by Counsel for the Federal Minister. UFU BCOM Member ACFO Brendan Angwin gave evidence for the UFU mainly in relation to the operation of part-time / flexible work. Witnesses for the MFB were Janette Pearce from Workplace Relations and Deputy Chief Officer David Bruce.
Members are reminded that the hearing is open and as such you are entitled and encouraged to attend to watch from the gallery.
The proceeding is taking place at the Fair Work Commission, 11 Exhibition Street Melbourne CBD and will recommence at 10am tomorrow (Thursday 30 August) with the intention to run until Friday this week. Members are reminded to remain respectful at all times during the proceeding if you do attend.
