UFU DONATION TO AUSTRALIAN FARMERS
A big thank you to UFU members for your generosity!
- The UFU sincerely thanks UFU current and retired members who contributed to Rural Aid’s effort, ‘Buy a Bale’, for our nation’s farmers. UFU members raised $3276.00 for Rural Aid. Today, the UFU made the donation on members’ behalf. Thanks to your efforts, we donated 50 bales of hay, 92,000 litres of water, as well as 15 x $50 supermarket hampers to drought-affected farmers via Rural Aid.
- Though a number of UFU members contributed to the efforts, a special mention must be made to the following groups of members for their large donations: MFB Western District, Morwell Fire Station, Tullamarine Fire Station (No. 52), Pascoe Vale Fire Station (No. 6) and Hallam Fire Station.
- Retired members from the UFU Retired Members Division passed around a hat at their recent AGM and raised $283. Their donation went towards food for farm dogs in Bairnsdale.
- A number of UFU members also attended Bunnings’ Sausage Sizzles on 10 August to buy a sausage …. With some members even getting behind the BBQ to help cook! Photos will be posted to the UFU Vic website shortly!
