To all UFU ESTA Members:
APPLICATION FOR
PROTECTED ACTION
BALLOT ORDER
Today, 7 August 2015, the Unions made an application to the Fair Work Commission for a Protected Action Ballot Order (PABO).
The Agreement expired over one month ago and after eight months of negotiations ESTA’s most recent offer STILL does not have government endorsement. We are frustrated by the lack of action from ESTA and feel that industrial action is the only way to progress negotiations.
The hearing for the PABO will be heard by the Commission next week. Once it is approved members will receive ballot papers from the Australian Electoral Commission. It is imperative that all members vote in this ballot.
The Unions will be holding members meetings in the coming weeks to provide you with more details regarding ESTA’s attacks on your working conditions.
Members meetings will be held at the following times:
THO – 13 and 17 August 1700-2000
WTC – 18 and 20 August 1700-2000
BAL – 24 and 27 August 1700-2000
Any questions or concerns please contact your delegates or industrial officer.
