UFU FUNDRAISING TRIVIA NIGHT
FOR SWAGS FOR THE HOMELESS
The UFU will be holding a charity trivia night on Monday 21st March at The Spotted Mallard in Brunswick.
Date: 7pm, Monday 21st March
Venue: The Spotted Mallard, 314 Sydney Road, Brunswick 3056
Cost: $10 at the door
All profits raised will go to Swags for the Homeless, a nationally accredited Australian charity that creates and distributes award-winning backpack beds for people sleeping on the streets. Its aim is to improve the health, dignity and comfort for people sleeping on the streets, and to assist and conduct social welfare and relief work including relief of poverty, sickness, suffering and misfortune. Swags for the Homeless won the 2011 Australian Human Rights Award for best Community Organisation.
Bookings
To reserve a table of up to 12, please RSVP by Monday 7th March to org1@ufuvic.asn.au. Bookings will be made on a first come, first served basis, so round up your most knowledgeable friends (the movie buff, the sports nerd, the amateur geographer) and get a table together.
Call for prize donations
A raffle and silent auction will be held on the night, with to-be-confirmed prizes (both goods and services) donated by local businesses. If any members or their families run a business and are in a position to donate, please contact Mardi: org1@ufuvic.asn.au or 0455 221 991. Any contribution would be welcomed – no prize is too small.
