UFU MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS AFTERNOON AT GEELONG CITY FIRE STATION

 

The UFU Spouse and Partner Support Group respectfully invites all UFU members and their partners to their upcoming event at Geelong City Fire Station.  Event details below.

  • As members may be aware, the UFU Spouse & Partner Support Group has travelled to career and integrated stations at stations’ requests throughout 2017 and 2018 to discuss mental health in the fire services.
  • The Support Group, comprising of professional firefighters, spouses & partners of professional firefighters and UFU Welfare Officer Ross Fusca, encourages and facilitates discussion on station about the importance of looking after mental health and raise awareness of the support networks available to members.
  • Once again, the panel of speakers will include UFU Welfare Officer, Peer Support Coordinators and a qualified psychologist. All guests are welcome to stay for a cuppa following the event to meet other members in the service and for a chat.
  • UFU members who do not work at Geelong City Fire Station, but work and/or live in the area, are also welcome to attend.
