UFU POSTCARD CAMPAIGN TO ESCALATE: DOORKNOCKING IN WILLS

The UFU has been very successful with its postcard campaign, since Christmas thousands of Postcards have been sent to Labor MP’s from members of the public expressing concern over the treatment of firefighters.

The UFU will be escalating this process by holding a doorknock in Brunswick on Saturday the 19th of March. The intention of this doorknock is to educate the public on our dispute and to gather signatures on postcards to send to Jane Garrett and the ALP.

In the lead up to the last state election firefighters doorknocked in marginal electorates and had a great response from the public in a campaign to get rid of the Napthine Government who were attacking firefighters. It is unfortunate that we must now apply a similar tactic to the Andrews Government.

Members will meet at Coburg Primary School, 92 Bell Street, Coburg VIC 3058 at 10am.

Full training, BBQ lunch and all materials will be provided on the day. Members will be doorknocking in pairs.

Members will be notified of further Doorknocks in other areas in the future.

Please RSVP your attendance to Dan Hunt at org2@ufuvic.asn.au or 0419127045.
