UFU RETIRED MEMBERS DIVISION INAUGURAL LUNCH AT PARLIAMENT HOUSE
The UFU Retired Members Division is a newly formed arm of the UFU aimed at supporting members once they have left the workforce.
The first event organised by the RMD was a lunch at parliament house earlier today which was greatly enjoyed by all 80 participants.
The Honourable Member and previous UFU Shop Steward for Frankston and two other Parliamentarians took the Retired Members on a tour of Parliament house, followed by a lunch and meeting at which the Minister for Emergency Services Jane Garrett spoke. She praised retired firefighters and their partners for their significant contribution to the community.
The event marked the first meeting of the Retired Members Division and if it is any indication of the enthusiasm and interest for future meetings the RMD can look forward to a bright future.
A special thanks goes to the RMD Steering Committee which was the driving force in ensuring the event was a success.
