Bulletin No: 241 Volume: 20 6 November 2014
To ALL UFU MEMBERS
FOR 29 NOVEMBER
Further to UFU Bulletin requesting members to commit to Election Day we are pleased to inform our members that in a number of marginal seats we have achieved the required number of off duty firefighters/members to inform the community of the cuts to the fire services.
On the 29th November 2014 you have the unique opportunity of changing your employer by informing the voting public on how the Napthine-Wells Government has affected the firefighting industry and the community you serve. However to protect our industry we need members that have not yet committed to the 29th November Election Day, for either a three-hour or four-hour shift, for the following targeted marginal seats.
- 34 members for Carrum
- 31 for Mordiallac
- 12 for Bentleigh
- 18 for Bunningyong (Ballarat area)
We are a small union and its members are indeed committed and punch above their weight but if the Napthine-Wells Government is re-elected you will experience the continuation of another four years of adversarial and aggressive attacks on firefighters and our industry.
Please make every effort to participate and contact UFU organiser Dan Hunt on 0419127045 or email@example.com or Peter Marshall 0419 127 004.
